KING OF GAMES'S PROFILE
I'm a young fool and I make games via RM. I enjoy game mechanics and theories, especially new graphical experiments. I'm a master chip splicer and I draw my own resources as well. Teaching myself how to digitally paint via PS, after pixeling for several years.

Had an idea for a game, a platformer, where you play as a boomerang toting penguin that kills all the dinosaurs, giving a definitive explanation as to their extinction.
RMN Closing Down April 2nd
yeah this is literally the LAST of the rpgmaker community. Shutting it down doesn't make sense, it practically has a monopoly on rm games, which means if people want to showcase their games, this is one of the main places they'll go to do it.
I'll admit that I hardly ever check these forums and don't like some of the members, but the front page/game page set up is a vital and integral part of showcasing talent.

Short Games vs Longer Games
The length of a game doesn't matter, what matters is the quality. Either one can be good or bad. I agree that for RM, shorter games are better because they allow the extremely dulled internet attention span a chance. I usually don't play RM games because they never hold my attention, I never get invested in it, the way I might with a commercial game. And I'll turn it off if I can't beat a battle or am subjected to a plethora of text.
Shorter games don't necessarily fix the problems of attention grabing, and subsequently the wave of flashy gimmicks/mini-games/joke games to gain attention lately, but it does give the designer more control over the feasibility of completion on his behalf, and the behalf of the player. If it's good, it will leave the player wanting more, and they will be on edge until new content, or another game from that creator.

Sound Ripping?
yeah you can use any sound recording program but you gotta make sure your recording options are set to "stereo mix" which will rip sound from the computer directly.
Site Feedback Overhaul (meaning that we need your feedback)
Yo can you bring back the random generated screen shots on the main page? It was a good way to stumble on to some gold games and find interesting/inspiring screens.
So, I got "Pokemon: SoulSilver"
So does anyone still use RM95?
i tired it once, but didn't get far. i would like to check it out for kicks, if anyone knows where to grab a dl.

Intentionally Bad Games.
I can't stand them, people think they are being ironic and funny by producing trash and it's sad that its what the majority of rm games have become, and more sadly the rm community.
